RRP $399
On special at Autobarn $349
I got one from another eBay seller a week or two ago for $275 with free postage, which I thought was great value.

That price is insane.  :'(

I rang the mob selling them. Only 30 were available. Special price on ebay. Last day at this price.
Tempted to go for another one.

Price has just changed on ebay to $249 delivered. Still cheap but not a bargain.

How about a Thunder DC to DC charger for $182 that includes postage  http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/THUNDER-20A-DC-TO-DC-MPPT-300W-SMART-BATTERY-CHARGER-SOLAR-TDR02010-DUAL-BATTERY-/272349130694

I purchased mine directly from the "Ingram Micro"  the whole seller and it cost me $230, so I don't know how they sell them so cheap on Ebay.

Not DC-DC, but I was looking at this one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-CTEK-MXS-3-8-12V-Smart-Battery-Charger-Bundle-Comfort-Indicator-Cooler-Bag-/161539198078?_trkparms=%26rpp_cid%3D58537fbce4b079495e633c0b%26rpp_icid%3D58537adde4b057c96d3c444e

Anybody use the MXS chargers?

Only 3.8A, but it will really only be for battery maintenance as well as the occasional boost, so I don't need to be able to charge super-quick :D

Not really suitable for batteries any bigger than about 80AH, and even then it would take forever to charge it from say half discharged.
As you say, it would be fine to keep a larger battery 'topped up' on the maintenance charge.

I'm wondering if the projecta idc25 is being discontinued, or about to be updated.

What is the story behind this DC-DC charger?
Why would you need one?

It will use input from either your Anderson plug on the back of your tug, or a solar panel, and boost (if required) the voltage to enable the best charging conditions for the battery in your camper.
There are other ways of skinning the cat, but these things look after your battery and will manage to get them charged to close to 100% capacity.

I have one in my camper, and also have a 40amp AC-DC power supply connected to the 'alternator' input, which allows me to charge when plugged into AC power as well.
Seems to work pretty good.
