Well I made it to Woods Point and back
Left at 5 am from here to Yarra Glen wasnt to bad but going up the slide there was crap every where
Mansfield to Jamo clear but from Jamo to woods Point pissin rain couldnt see s#it trees down every where
The climb up to frenchmans gap got 800mtr starting to sleet got to 900 mtr starting to snow truck with HWY tyres starting to loose traction ???
Got to the top and my ar#e stops puckering but going down the other side I think to my self will the engine brake cause compression lock up
or will I just keep tapping the brake pedal
Well I held my breath and just did a bit of everything bit of sliding here and there finaly got some grip again all was good
On the way out no snow so need to change my jocks again

Good to hear it all worked out well for ya Brett, that sort of stuff keeps you on your toe's and it all ways makes you feel good when you look back on it latter and know you handled it right.

The surface has improved, It still follows the same path largely. As a road if you show it respect you'll be fine, If you try to race or make up time------Well that's when we get called out to clean up the mess. I guess I've been driving it all my life, But i'm just as happy to drive that way as any other, My wife on the other hand hates it with a passion.

The putty road... I have had dozens of mad weekends on the bikes headin through there up past the 1/2way house (has that been rebuilt yet?) and on to Walcha, Gingers the Oxley Hwy...

God I miss those weekends, No cares in the world... massive speeds, let ya hair down and no bacon in sight....

Half way house has been sold and is to be rebuilt, But I've not heard when.

Not any more. With every bike drop it's going the way of The old Road (Pacific highway).

Sadly isnt everything :(

I remember many weekends down to bald hill thru natio park, the road wasnt re-tarred in 25 years.. was patched hell, but awesome fun! Same as Mac Pass...
