Yes I have ;D

I have seen the foxwing on 2 cars and travelled with both of them, one for 3 weeks up to the cape and the other for a long weekend away (3 days) I thought they took too long to put up and put away, too many poles and ropes and you will need the ropes when it gets windy, if you do get it, get rid of the silly ropes it comes with.

They have come down in price a lot I must say (if that price you were quoted is correct) I wonder why??

cheers

How heavy do these awnings get when wet? My thoughts after many years of wet tarps on 40ft trailers is they would get stupid heavy to be setting up day after day if its weeing down.
Anyone care to share?

No ropes needed for mine, 2 poles and a spreader bar, just peg it to the ground like so

Have I missed something here  ! This foxwing is all very flash BUT a bit Xe for what it is . After all its a tarp & poles in the end . On the roof rack mount some small bolts ti go through eyelets then attach spreaders to upright poles bongo  ,, cover . The cover that Baz has looks just right as its flexable . Can be peged to the ground as shown or as long cover on poles or tied to a tree . Makes more sence  $ wise . Its a case of think outside the square .Takes the same to set up .
More foddre for thought  ???

If you want a bargain ask for the foxwing "right hand -side" awning - apparently they can't give them away.  People prefer the left hand side for convenience when pulling to the side of the road, but really, how many times are you going to set up the awning on the side of the road?  It really makes no difference at camp or well off the road which side it's on. Speak with Rescue1 for a price, he told me about it.
Cheers Andy

Hi all,
was looking at awnings myself early this week and ARB offer various different sizes so am looking at their side one and also one for the back. Even with flyscreen rooms they are cheaper than the Foxwing unit, in dollar costs, I am not sure about quality. Only thing is the ARB unit is only 2 meters wide whereas the Ironman unit is 2.5m. After reading the above posts I may have to ring some other suppliers that have been mentioned and get some more competitive quotes. I do like the back awning idea though.
Just my thoughts.

I could have picked up a driver side foxwing for $440 Last week as prado bb said They can't give them away. I bought the ARB 2.5x2.5m anyway just to set up over the kitchen on overnighters.
