Good thinking Al.....I was thinking of doing Mungo and the Flinders again.....but always open to suggestions....

We were thinking about trying to incorporate Flinders into a round trip down that way also.

Teabag

Just a shame it is sooooooo far away........Cairns to pretty much Adelaide is a long haul. I guess some will always have to travel some distance? Good luck with the meet and truely wish I could make it......

Hi everyone, this is my first post after joining a while back but I think that this meet is definitely worth a post. The wife & I are really excited about the trip to get there & the meet will be the icing on the cake. We live in Charters Towers in North Queensland & are looking forward to catching up with all the other members of this forum.

G'day Blueute74 and welcome to Myswag. It will be great to meet up down at Jamestown.  :cup:

Al

We are from Alice Springs and will have completed a 6 month trip in June (our first ever trip in our new CT) and i cant think of anything better than getting back out on the road and meeting fellow myswag members at this meet. Sounds awesome, me, significant other and 2 kids will definantly be there, will keep eyes open for details, just have to get our first trip out of the way first.

rescue1

I'd love to be there just need to organise a couple of things

1. Be in Australia not South Africa
2. Get time off work
3. Buy camper trailer
4. Convince SWMBO that its a good idea (this is the easy task)

rosgeog

Jamestown is not far from Alice. Sort out shifts and we are there.

It looks as though we will be going and would also like to do mungo and the flinders ranges. I am on leave from 0600 / 9th September and would be looking at leaving Nelson Bay on Saturday 10th.

Lindsay, I will also be doing Mungo & Flinders....and thinking of having 3 weeks off work....but before I book them in, was waiting to see what dates others are considering.....if there is still others wanting to do the same itinery..

As the long weekend is the 3rd of October, I would use the rest of that week to wander home....which means I would be leaving home on the 17th of September ( unless I got another week off ??? )

I'll see how things pan out in the next month or so, but I need to book leave soon ( in case some bar**ard beats me to it !!)

Would have  loved to have made this but we are taking 2 Months to do the Cape 2011. Keep in mind we live in Broome so just getting to the East Coast will take us a week and 3K in fuel...or something ridiculous.. :'(.
