There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

You read a story about the Aria awards and the only band name you have heard of is the one being inducted into the hall of fame.

...a man's got to know his limitations.... ;D ;D

I'm getting a new clutch and alloy flywheel fitted to the Patrol next week.
Even with the hoist in the shed, it's not a job I feel like doing these days.
I'd have been all over it 10 years ago, but for $800, someone else can do it....

I'm the same with washing cars these days.

A couple of Paki dudes opened a car wash at the local shopping mall.

$45 for a wash, chamis, detail and a interior clean, fk doing it by myself. I can drop it off, hit the coffee shop, check out the hot birds in yoga pants standing on the wobbling deck thing that's all the rage these days  they try to sell to fat chicks and pick it up an hour later.

All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.

^^ You do realize that the big green shed has rolls of vinyl flooring with that stick flooring picture on it, Spill a bucket of glue on floor roll it out, 1 can of Bundy .....
Spread  the sheet and  glue it down, hack the edges off with a stanley knife .. Done by the end of the 2nd can of Bundy ... Then sit back and  enjoy the other 4 cans while the glue dries .. Would only take an hour tops  ;D ;D
