If anything as the moment arm increases with a longer lever the mass at the hitch point will go down.

I've had the mchitch on a jayco Camper and now a jayco Starcraft with the hitch on 3 different cars and not one issue at all and the chains and leads fitted no worries. It's  a great product and well
