Just back from 4 nights camping and I reached for this Gerry Rafferty album. Then I realised its probably been one of the most played albums from my collection all year. As Molly used to say "Do yourselves a favour."

Funny you should mention that. I've recently discovered The Dirtbombs.
Their album Ultraguide In Black is worth checking out.
2 drummers, 2 bass players and the singer on guitar.

They mostly keep the drums reasonably simple and keep it pretty tight. But their music style is pretty messy.... ;)
One of my fave bands, love the Dirtbombs. Mick Collins has a distinctive sound, his other band The Gories has that similar garage band sound

You my friend are a man of excellent taste. It always makes me smile when I play Joe's Garage. The Central Scrutinizer tried to warn him didnt he.

Cheers Glen

this is interesting - going back to something with magic sound... wonder if it will succeed :) and if they will roll out old school bands.

Vinyl revolution: $400,000 later, Australia's first new press in 30 years is here

So they spent $400,000 of their savings on a crazy plan that just might work: reviving one of the oldest technologies in the recording industry, using the latest technology.

With the needle only just hitting the groove Lynch and Roper already have a burgeoning business, with orders from Mark Seymour, Kim Salmon, Sleaford Mods and more. And they have big plans: their warehouse will soon house not just the pressing plant but a concert venue, too.

Just got these guys as a recommendation.

They seem to cover a wide range of artists from The Supremes, Beach Boys, Crosby Stills & Nash and so on. Easy to listen to.

Been enjoying the new album "Imperial" from Soen.
Think prog metal with a touch of djent but a frequent tendency wander off into a Floyd-ish atmosphere on the slower tracks.

The kids always play DJ with my Spotify in the car while I'm driving them around to swimming training and Scouts, etc.
Their music taste is mostly pretty good. One daughter likes some pretty out there stuff, but then again, a lot of my mates thought the music I listened to when I was their age was pretty out there as well...  ;D

I've been really happy this week, they've been picking some ripper tunes.
The last couple of days we've all been belting out some classics at the top of our lungs as we drive around.

You can't help but love your kids when they put this on for a family sing-a-long....
