Twas me who sent the bulk PM regarding Merchandise 

I modified the settings so that the Mods didn't receive it as all of them are well aware that we have Myswag.org Merchandise available for purchase and they usually have enough PM's to read and reply to.

I am unsure why some of you didn't receive it as it was set for all Members to receive (apart from Mods obviously). Perhaps my dodgy internet connection dropped out before the site could finish dispatching them all - I'm not sure.  For those of you didn't get it, the PM read as follows:

Sorry for spamming your inbox but a number of people have commented to me that they had been Members of Myswag.org for a period of time before realising we had Myswag.org Merchandise available for purchase. I thought doing this quick "bulk PM" would be the quickest way to get the word out to EVERYONE!

As you already know – there is no "Joining Fee" to become a Myswag.org Member therefore one way we raise funds to pay the annual Myswag.org server fees is by selling Myswag.org Merchandise for a small profit.  We have an extensive and high quality range available including the very recent inclusion of Caps and Buckets Hats.  The Merchandise thread can be found here -> http://www.myswag.org/index.php?topic=35119.0

Thanks for sharing and caring jillsy i feel loved now.. (because i got one ...) ha ha..

Some may not know this, but Myswag along time ago grew outside of "standard" or basic hosting capability. Due to the amount of people posting etc. We had to move the server to a dedicated option (it's own physical box) and significantly increase bandwidth capabilities. All that comes at a price. We could have gone a slightly cheaper option which meant slow bandwidth and systems constantly dropping out. Instead we have a great platform that is fast and supports the community well.

So.. Every year there's a BILL and it's not small. As Jillsy has mentioned unlike alot of forums that have advertising (paid) or membership fees, Myswag doesn't We need to recoup those costs every year and is a small amount that can be handled through merchandise or donations to the server fund.

For those complaining about the PM, i recommend that if you wish to enjoy this forum and all it's greatness, then ignore the PM but click the link for the server fund above or buy $50 worth of merchandise and to be done with it.. Every bit helps and ensures the forum continues to run smoothly. I love the fact this is a forum that is FAST, Enjoyable to read and isn't covered with Advertising. Brett and Jill could make an absolute FORTUNE by doing advertising on the site.! They don't and i believe never will.

I received the bulk PM thank you and it was a good reminder.  Reminded me to order a sticker for my new car, even though I bought it 2 years ago. 

I already have one on my camper.  Had a sticker on my last car but it went with the car.
