Our Husky and Deutscher H26 both have steel decks...

The Deutscher has been fully replaced over the years (ours is about 27 years old), mostly due to the grass acids and the odd stones completely destroying it.

Last time I priced a new deck it was cheaper to make a new one from better quality steel

I have a 48 year old Deutcher and it still has its original deck.  I also love the fact that I can ring the factory in Ballarat and still get parts for it!

Is that the Super Crisp, or Original? If it's the original it may be OK. But the Supercrisp is overpriced midstrength swill.

There's your problem. No beer that is drunk out of cans is any good. Glass stubbies all the way

I don't mind Fat Yak. But made the mistake of buying tins to take camping. They were awful. Worse than the creek water....

If it's not at a bar, it's all beer out of cans all the time for me.
I hate taking glass camping, a bottle or 2 of wine is the only exception.
But I've seen waaaaaaaaaay too much broken glass at camp sites to let myself be part of that problem.

If you drink cans at home, they're not such a shock when you go camping. ;)

I will have to take your word for it Pete. Not sure I could make myself actually buy them for home  ;D

Yeah I don't need to impress anyone in my shed, so I save the beer snobbery for public places.
Then I only have craft beer from the most obscure breweries, like the rest of the cool kids these days.... ;D ;D

Seems everyone is drinking Great Northern, so thought I'd give it a try,
BUT,
the Original [full strength] is not available in Vic, only the sub standard sh!t.
