After years of talking about how good it would be to have our own campsite with that perfect spot by the river where nobody would bother us......................

I finally did it..........

We found the perfect farm being subdivided into lots of several hundred acres near Goulburn.
Right on the river with easy access and its a dead end cul de sac of farmland.......
2.5 hours from home to river.

Couldn't be happier.
All those threads of "#$^#$%" people who annoy, you, camp on top of you, etc etc, we can finally have total peace and bliss to ourselves in our own little corner of the world.

Also ordered our new Jayco to go with it..............  :D ;D :D

We plan to install a septic toilet system and a camp kitchen style structure with showers etc.
When its all finalised and done, hopefully get a few swaggers over to take the top off a few.........

Cheers all,
Brian

Best thing.

Over here in Wa my bro in law and wifes sister also bought a farm of about 400 acres and in a wooded area have built a couple of big sheds along with 2 toilet/shower blocks with septics and running water. Also has a big copper to heat water that is poured into a drum and winched into the air for hot showers.  In summer we use a large coil of black 19mm irrigation pipe that provides about 40 litres of hot water.   Big camp kitchen alongside a large pit fire that has had up to 12 camp ovens going.  Plus a couple of 6 burner BBQs collected from verge pickups.   June long weekend generally see about 20 or so of us up there and he pushes together all the old timber from the block into a bonfire.  Kids run amuck on bikes, climb trees and toast marshmallows at night.  After 30 years of camping alongside rivers along with everyone else it is a pleasure to have access to our own little patch.

We mainly use it during winter months when we can have fires .

Get a couple of old fridges that no longer work and they become perfect sealed places with racks for storing plates, pots cutlery, glasses etc out of the dust and dirt.

Hi Brian,
I take it that you are going to an Expanda if your previous posts are anything to go by. Am I wrong? Good choice if it is.
