Wish I was there, but then again no I dont.. was 44 when we stayed at Penrose Park Silverton - that was torture, camped by the river that didnt look like it had water for 50 yrs in it.. but the pub was close by

Fires still an issue
Mostly grass fires. Parndana seems to be the main hotspot
East part of the island ok
Hopefully heading out west tomorrow
South seems to be ok
Like the rest of SA. Bloody dry

Went to Flinders Chase today.
Still only access to the southern part. Most camp grounds closed except those near the visitor centre.
Plenty of smoke still around
The wife wasn't keen to go to Parndana so can't comment much more.

Cool and smoke free Bernie TAS, cruise ship diverted from Eden.  Not looking forward to returning to Canberra worst air quality of any city in the world and the pollies aren't even there. Geez what a summer. We had the big red fireball a few hundred metres from us in 2003 and 500 houses lost, but at least the SE seaboard wasn't alight.
