Vacation Campers

Vacation Campers will be there site 438 - come and check out our new Ruff Roader walk-through passage model - the Ovo.  It will be the one that is set up - also have the Vacationer with us which is one of our Heavy duty Off Road models.  The Ovo demo will be for sale so ask Theo or Pauline for a price.  Check out the website before you go.

One other thought - our best wishes go to the people of Bundaberg and Gympie they have been hit pretty hard by the flooding - some of our suppliers have gone under 3 times now - time for Mother Nature to take a break.

Enjoy the show.

Know your prices before you go.. its easy to write "SHOW SPECIAL" on a bit of cardboard and stick it on items, doesnt really mean Shit most times.

As Lost said know your stuff , then
Take your own lunch
Take lots of water
If you buy stuff take it to the storage pionts at the main gate , then you dont have to cart it around
Collect only the info pages you need
Stop with a map to work out where you want to go
Get there early as possable  & Enjoy
You can go your own way . Treg Up & Make Dust

And with the water sunscreen and a hat are a must some might think that common sense but so much outside walking around you dont realise how long you are in the sun. Take the odd time to find a seat in the shade for a drink break makes getting around the whole lot a bit easier.  Back packs though hot are probably better than alot of bags in hands or on shoulders.  Take cash. Speewa's point above about collect only the info pages you need is so true all the stands will want you to take their brochures but if you are never going to buy it or visit it dont get one it will way you down.  The ones we have collected at shows that interest us I now have in one box at home so I know where it all is if we want to go away.

Or. Go visit the BIG Taj Mahal caravans on the Caulfield station side and pop in for a 20min power nap. King sized beds ! They are generally airconed as well ! Just testing it out you do want a $100k sale don't you? :)

Did just look at the exhibitor listing and see that Supa RV are going to be there wish I knew what there show prices were going to be if they had an awning we are after at good show price might be worth the trip. But as people say with gate price might still be cheaper to order online and pay for delivery.

So, who has been to the show? How was it, any good bargains I should look out for? I'm going Monday...

Huge, Shit loads to see, Shit loads triple out of the average family budget..
Not well laid out so you can do it simply without double backing 129054+E04 times.

Quoteany good bargains I should look out for?
No.
but know the prices of what your looking at before you go.. many suckers have been pwned before thinking they are getting "SHOW SPECIALS"... when its retail 10%.

DeLuxHiLux

Well, Mrs Delux and i went Yesterday (thursday), $18 for both of us (thanks RACV) and honestly, we were the only 2 people there under the age of 50 at didnt have an exhibit there!!!! The number of people with 4 wheel walker frames was scary!

And  as said earlier, either know your prices or have the smart phone/tablet at the ready to check out the inevitable "Show Price" and dont be shy about it. I pulled out my phone and said to Mrs Delux "i'll just check that  price on "tentworld" or similar and some people started to look really sheepish.I  called one guy on his "special Show Price" on Anderson Plugs. had "50A Anderson plugs for $12 -usually $15). They are on their website for $12! Ok, its only $3, but its the principle. He was "generous enoug" to suggest he could "just" do them for $12. I didnt need any, i was just having a sticky beak.

They pay a bucketload to exhibit at these shows, there isnt that much incentive to slash prices! Did find Camac (I think thats the right spelling) had some good prices on Narva plugs and accessories compared to some internet prices i found on the iphone on the day.

Parking wise, after getting caught in the monster traffic, found not going around the south end of the racecourse, but going around the north to the entrance was quicker than last year, but still took about 30 minutes from being outside Monash uni to getting out of the car. If you buy and print your tickets online it HEAPS quicker to get in. there is only 1 cashier doing card, the rest cash, but internet tickets just walk straight up to the security man......... that would have saved us 15-20 minutes standing in the sun!!!!!!

Got my tickets today via the internut.
Going to be hot but we have ditched the kids for the day and we will be there. Most likely do the outdoor stuff in the morning and the indoor stuff after that.
I think an early finish to the day will be in order.
