Eg if start an auction on EBay and before the auction is completed we get an offer from another site  - one that is too good to turn down - do you have to complete the EBay auction? 

That depends on the buyer. they can take you to court and you will lose... it has been done before.

That case was a bit different where the auction had ended and the buyer thought he had purchased the plane. In a typical case the camper ad is removed before it hits reserve or the auction has finished.

The guy ook the seller to court, more for the 100k saving off the 250k valued plane, rather than that he thought eBay was a contract.


How manyitems you see relisted on ebayafter buyers didnt complete transaction. Or is it that the seller didnt get the price they wanted so put it back up for auction hoping for a higher bid.

For a few hundred, maybe a grand its not an issue, an inconvenience maybe, but nothing more.......

Our Jayco Flamingo camper is ticking over on EBay with 17 bids. A few phone calls and a couple of scam TXTS we ignored. Watchers 70 and views 500+.  Also have Hilux on CarSales and a couple of other items on EBay.  Bit addictive this EBay stuff.
