side issue:
the TV news here in Adelaide (channel 7 and ch9) didn't even have the decency to mention the word "pistol" in the report the day that the olympic team was announced, even though the Chapmans from SA are the only father/daughter combination to ever compete in the same sport in the same olympics. Fat chance of a photo getting printed if the media wont even mention the word "pistol"
Chappie won a medal in the last Commonwealth games and it barely rated a mention............

Posting inoffensive pictures (well inofensive to all but about 10% of the Australian population) of something they did that is 100% legal.

They need to stop this rubbish and start thinking that we have better athletes in other sports who do more, but it's always the spoil swimmer who get all the funding and riches. It's about time the funding for the athletes change as most of our swimmer earn a lot of money and the rest are forgotten.

All up who cares that they posed with guns, big deal it was lawful. The Olympic committee need to shut up and do something for everyone in sport in stead of making fools of all our sport men and women.

I always thought the olympics were supposed to be for amatuer sportspeople.... not fulltime professionals..

    My mother had her photo on the front page of the paper with a rifle - no fuss then - she was in the 1956 Olympic eliminations though.
Oh and it was on the shooting team.

I would be impressed with the monies he earned from the Olympics and if he wins medals to be sold off and paid to the victim as a goodwill gesture...
