So True, its amazing how many people drive up in the soft crap instead of staying on the hard sand.... the car s already on the beach a bit of salt water wont kill it !!  my company hilux loves washouts, down somewhere near the breakers !  No need to modify it ! Just hit the hardest sand and the shallowest water... if in doubt a bit of pace seems to do the trick !

Hi Jet crew,
Now i'm not a fraser expert....but ,we just spent a week there before the school hols.
We stayed at dilli village wich was more than ok.They have cabins aswell.
I agree with the Eli creek photo, stay low at the water ways and no prob.
I will admit i drove out along the creek once or twice but had no issues.

Re Kingfisher.  Yes, it's quite a different kind of accommodation to that of the Eastern side.  Packages can be good value, and it's nice around the bar/pool/restaurant area.  But you might have to take out a loan to eat dinner there.  So they give the peasants an annexe out the back, which is kind of like one of those run-down ski-resort bistros with game machines and kids running wild.
