Getting stiff whilst driving

About 2 and a half hours is max before I have to get out and have a walk about for twenty minutes or so. My knees feel it worst.

I can be in the car for about 3 hrs in the morning before my knee tells me to get out but then it is every 1-1.5 hrs after that for the rest of the day.
After just getting home from 700-800km days I know all about pain in my knee. I should have it looked at I guess.

Yeah, the right knee. Old footy injury, had knee Op's on both, Starting to catch up with me 
Once drove from Armidale to Underwood in a budget Hire 15Tonner, hit the peak hour on the Ipswich Motorway, Stop. Start, Stop, Start, when we dropped the truck off I could hardly walk.  Near crippled me.   
We all have a cross to carry, one of the joys of getting older

Everyone's body is different but the only way i recover is to stop for a stretch and a short stroll.
Anything that can be a distraction whilst driving is dangerous in my opinion.

Agree, One trip i hate doing with a passion is leaving home, Lawrence and head to Springwood Brissy, Pick Fysh up after work in Maclean about 3 pm, get to about Dreamworld, by about 5.10 ish, the sun is in the wrong place, mad drivers wanting to get home, darting back and forth from one lane to another behind you, cutting you off in front of you, knees starting to arch, kids getting bored and restless Finally get to Springwood, Get to the bottleshop, just up the road another another K or so, swing into the mates driveway, crack the top of a cold beer and pain goes away, takes a little longer for the kids to settle. That must be one of the worst stretches of road at that time of the day to be on.

We purchased a set of something similar to this at the 4x4 show last year.

I was a bit sceptical at first but after 2 big trips I think they are a must. From memory they were $20 for a pair.
