Hi all, Has anyone had any luck with price negotiation (paying less) on advertised price  from the likes of  Patriot, MDC, Jayco, Black Serious. Cheers

Never pay full price for anything, especially if you have the money in your pocket.

If your getting finance through them, you'll have bugger all chance.

At times, you may not get much off the retail price, but they will throw in free options.

Set a budget, tell them you want (inset make and model with extras) and you have this much $$$ ready to spend right now.

If they don't want to come to the party, walk away, it's your money.

Friend of mine did a good deal on 200 Series Landcruiser but the finance broker ripped him a new one
$1100 in fees and 6.9%.  I bought one also $450 in fees at 4.2%

I have only dealt with MDC, along with a number of people I have put onto them. There isn't a lot of haggle space with them considering the demand is so high for them. Lead times are pretty solid at the moment. There are sometimes newish ones for sale on the owners group on facebook if you are willing to hang around for the right thing to come up.

If you a re putting an order in for a build especially with a few extras then normally no there is not much wiggle room

If you go to the manufacturer and they have what you want or close to what you want sitting on the floor as a display or even better a demo model that has probably only been used for a photo shoot and you have cash then hell year i woulld put an offer in 15% below the asking price and then come up to 10% below the asking price

And yes they will take it cause at the end of the day they are like cars and you will always make money moving stock

If  you have a few thousand to throw away definitely go new. Pay &20,000 for a new one and in 12 months it will be worth maybe $16000..if your lucky. Buy a good second hand one that has had the warranty issues sorted,  maybe a few mods done, accessoried and the money you saved will pay off your holiday very quickly. Heaps of good quality second hand ones on Gumtree and Caravan Sales.

I bought a new Jayco in 2015 and discount from RRP was not quite 10%, so decent discounts to be had from new pricing. I found that from a few Jayco dealers too.

I am happy to pay for new product. If you intend to keep it more than a couple of years, those few extra thousands will be long forgotten.
