We have some friends that are coming away with us on 2 small trips and want to hire a camper and a Caravan as a bit of a 'try before you buy'.

Anyone suggest hire places in North Brisbane/Sunshine Coast that are worth dealing with ?

What sort of camping?  Offroad? I've hired a KK for a month off these guys in Caboolture: http://www.seqcampers.com.au/  $100 a night or so
Caravan park? I've hired a chinese camper off these guys in North Lakes: http://hiremycampertrailer.com.au/  $50 a night or so

Privatecaravanhire.com.au

Has owners who hire out vans.

There is a family with a 20 odd foot compass navigator van on there set up with a master bedroom and twin bunks at the other end. We have hired it a few times and it's about $70 odd a night which works out cheap for us (living inner city I couldn't own a van that size). You need a brake controller in your tug though. We dragged it all over NSW.

They are at Closeburn.

When I was looking to buy there were a fair few people advertising their campers and caravans for hire on gumtree, might be worth a look.
