I have three remote controlled roller doors on the man cave and am interested in what swaggers use to lubricate the door slides.  A mate talked me into using WD40 on them once and ever since I have had to do this every few weeks as it dries out and they start to stick.  Is there a dry lubricant or similar someone can suggest?  Thanks guys.   Mac

I only use silicone spray in the guides on my roller door. Reminds me I've been meaning to do this for a while.

I have been in the Roller Door/ Industrial Roller Shutter biz for more than 20 years and always used silicone spray lube as the mineral oil in WD40 , rp7 and the like melts the rubber that is inside the nylafelt (edge strapping) on some brands of doors it also attracts dust. Until a few years ago when WD40 brought out 3in1 Garage Door Lube and that is what I use now.....Michael

I missed the bit about using a lot of WD40 previously.....I would probably try to clean the guides/edge of door with hot soapy water/CT18 and hose/pressure wash clean before starting to use silicone or 3in1 garage door lube...Michael
