Camp ground power

We are new here...been spending some time in camp grounds with our camper trailer. When we hook up the power (15A) we can't run our fry pan and jug at the same time without tripping the power board. Can anyone suggest what we can do to improve? Using 10A powerboard inside the camper

Go buy a huge jen set

Use them one at a time. The fry pan and kettle probably draw 10 amps each. Double what your power board can handle and more than the 15 amp supply.

Maybe a gas stove?

Maybe think about using a decent sized; and branded Thermos - fill it up at the beginning of the morning with boiled water - and then you will be set for hours to come...

I think that maybe there's something wrong with either your power board, or one of your appliances leaking earth. We run our kettle, toaster, fridge & coffee dripper at the same time (powered sites) & don't have any probs.

The jug will draw approx 10 amps (could be more)depending on size
The frypan will draw somewhere between 10 and 15 amps.
Two possible fixes 1. install a fixed double GPO  2. get a higher rated power board.
Im assuming that you have a 15 amp socket mounted on your trailer
BUT,,,, just because you have a 15 amp plug socket on the ouside, does not necessarily mean that you internal wiring and fuse is also rated at 15 amps. May be best to get a sparky to check it out for you.

By "Power Board" i assume you are referring to Multi-Box power outlet. If so, they have an overload device rated at around 10 amps.
To guage your current draw, 1000watts = 4amps aprox. depending on the voltage. Your electric jug will be 2400watts (10amps) and your electric frypan will also be 2400watts (10amps) Total 4800watts (20amps) There is your problem.
You could get a multi-box power outlet without an overload device on it and rely on the circuit breaker for your overload protection.
You should also have an RCD on your power chord if the supply circuit does not have one.

The powerboard is doing what it is supposed to do, you are overloading it, so it is tripping out.  A kettle is typically 10A, as is an electric frypan, so that's 20A you are trying to draw from a 10A powerboard.

Just boil the jug before you use the frypan.  Don't use both at once.

You can't buy those in Australia.  All powerboards sold here must have integral overload protection.

You might have them all plugged in at once, but are they actually running at the same time?  If they are then the overload in your powerboard is faulty.
