Not the smartest thing to do but a sobering reminder of making sure portable generators are used in a well ventilated space.

Look out.....   After the debacle with the portable stoves they will ban generators next.   >:(
Don't mean to make light of the poor people who got killed, but seems another basic safety thing we all would know about re petrol engines.  Kevin

(Sad news...but) Seriously I can't remember when I learned that fire , combustion produced carbon monoxide but it was in
My very early school years.
How do some people get through life being so...at the risk of being offensive  stupid

sad news indeed. You got to wonder how this can happen, I would have thought it to be common sense.

Yep me too but it isn't the first time and won't be the last.
A few years back A grandfather, and his 2 sons and 3 grandkids died when they used a gas bbq to heat thier fishing hut.
Very sad but you would have thought one of them knew better

Sense, ain't so common these days. It's easier to blame someone else.

It's sad it happened, they might as well of sat in a car with garden hose through the window though.

not detracting from the sad news, but if public safety authorities are consistent, should this will result in a recall of all generators...............

Very sad indeed.  We also had a bad burning from one of those ethanol room warmers in the last few days ! Are they going to ban those heters ?  I suspect it was being refilled while it was still hot ?  I wonder if we will find out the reason ?

Running an engine in an enclosed space. Who would have thought that would cause issues?

Those poor kids had a fool for a father, but none of them deserved that including him.

You can make it fool-proof, but you can't make it damnfool-proof...
