Hi All,
I am looking at upgrading our soft floor camper to a Travelander camper trailer, and would appreciate any comments and information from people who own of have owned a Travelander.
I would be particularly interested to know how well they tow/stability etc, as they look like they have a fairly high centre of gravity. Also the nose cone is very close to the hitch ? can a ARB rear wheel carrier be opened, and tail gate opened on a 100 series with the trailer connected?
Thanks in advance for your comments and information.
Cheers
Howard

Welcome to MySwag & your 1st post  . If the CT your looking at is new then the maker could extend the pull frame to comply to your needs . Best to back up to it & try if its possible . Good luck in your quest , if you need to know ask somebody will know .

Hi, How did you go with this? Did you end up with a Travelander? If so how has it worked out for you?

I am considering purchasing one also.

Just bumping this post to see if anyone has purchased a Travelander.
I currently have a camper trailer and looking to down size to a single vehicle (i.e. Slide-on).
Certainly like the Wedgetail, but was wondering if there is any feedback on the Travelander from any owners?

Yes i purchased one an SC1. We use it on the back of our OKA

Not bad for the price but there are a few things i didn't like. The canvas wasent installed the best and is hard to close the windows when open.
The seams leak inside when it rains in a few areas. Working on fixing that with some wax

Some of the workmanship is really rough and looks slapped together, the fridge slides are very tight for an engle fridge and cant be used with the cover on. The Kitchen door latch is hard to use and just cheap Shit.

The welding on the adjustable legs is crap i ended up re welding some of them.

Considering what some others charge its not too bad if you are handy and can fix a few things yourself. They have a warrenty but i couldent be botherd going through the hassel of chasing it up. I have made a lot of mods including fitting an upright 40L Engle at the back, a heap of electrical work and other stuff. It is handy because it comes off without too much trouble although i am working on a 4 Hydraulic ram system.

Your best bet is to go and look at one in a show room, in Perth it is west coast campers.

Goodluck
