Hi there peoples!
I'm very green to the camper trailer world, to give you an idea!
I only just put my deposit down on a customline today!

I now have to choose what colour tent I want!
I know some canvas mark easy, so my question is who has what colours how are they going for marks and fading, also what gets to hot! (I'm guessing a blue tent).

I really like the grey tents with blue trim, grey roof and grey tropical roof, but customline mainly do beige trim and roof, so I'm contemplating whether to pay the extra for the grey!

Thoughts, comments and advise please

Cheers,

The punter

Ours is dark blue, with a solar blanket on the roof. The trade off for it getting a bit hotter is that in the mornings it is pitch black inside and makes for great sleep ins

Thanks Punter didn't think of that!
That could come in handy with the kids who like to get up as soon as they see daylight!

All canvas gets marked, bird poo and wet gum leaves will stain your canvas. Dark coloured canvas gets hotter ant takes longer to cool down, something to think about.

I think it's a state based thing, maroon seems to be popular in QLD, blue in NSW and khaki/beige in VIC :)

I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go...

Blue/Grey here. Bird poo washes out fairly well but don't park under gum trees without a tarp over top. :D

We saw our first PURPLE camper last weekend a Landcruiser Park..........................I have to say I quite liked it  ;D  :cup: ( it is my favourite colour ). It aint no fun being ordinary  ;D

And all colours will get marks and stains on them anyway  :-\

Gratz on your new camper.
As said above, all can stain or mark from sap etc.
I don't know that colour matters a great deal from that perspective.
Just get the colour you like the most.
Or.. If you get camo... The stains will blend in..
Only drawback is... How will you find it once you set it up?
Always give 100%... Unless you are giving blood.. then it may not go so well...

Cheer for the replies!
I've just heard people say that blue canvas gets a lot of white marks and not to get it, don't know what from or even if it's true!
But I see a lot of blue tents around!

We have a customline trailer with the the khaki colour and bone trim tent, happy as it is bit darker for sleep ins, hides the dirt, though roof is prone to stains. These seem to hose off wash off over time with no long term issues. Probably to do with the canvas rather than colour. Whatever you use in the great outdoors will get dirty and so be it. You will always associate it with a story or where you have been.

Khaki and beige is our most popular colour scheme.

Our Customline has grey walls and beige roof and tropical roof.  Plenty dark enough for sleep ins and relatively cool but the tropical roof really helps.

Ours has beige roof and has stains but you only see it when you set up/pack up.
Only way you can get way you can get away with it is to set up in the sun every time, staying clear of all overhanging items.

Choose a colour you like and close your eyes when setting up/packing up
Need to get the backside into gear and get out camping
