One of mates used to own a Niva in the mid 90's. It was a piece of crap in terms of quality but it did go where ever he pointed it. Quite a capable off road vehicle (as long as the engine was running at least!).

God,  as if it isn't hard enough to drive a Porsche without w$&nkers doing things like this!

I am surprised by the airbags tho, I was t-boned at speed in my 911 turbo last week.  I had my seven year old in the front seat next to me (fortunately it hit my side) my front and side air bags and his only his front one went off, so it wouldn't have thought it was that sensitive.

They say to double the value of a lada... fill it with petrol...

ANd the only reason they have heated rear windows is so that your hands do not freeze as you push start the thing all the time!

And  they did not give dual exhausts just incase they would be mistaken for wheel barrows

I saw a Lada Niva go up a hill once a mountain goat woulda fallen down.  Bloke told me he had changed the carb and modified the wiring. Musta got the bugs out it was screaming!!.. Phil ps doesnt make ya wanna buy a Cayeene does it!! think ill stick to my Navara..
