The guy who was going to do my doors cant make it so i am left doing this myself. Theres a 3x3 and a 3hx4.8w. I know not to unwrap it till up, and i will hire a lifter to get it up, just wondering if there is any other "traps"

Be careful when tensioning the drum. Make sure your second bar is in before you remove the first.
I believe in the three step program......campfire, a coldie and a fishing rod

Hi achjimmy... Installing and servicing roller doors/ shutters/panel lift doors etc has been my trade for the last 20 years (I now supervise 6 install/repair crews for a company that manufactures industrial roller shutters) B and D Have a very good website with all the info you should need (OCBA use their install manuals when assessing for restricted builders licencing relating to R/Door install). If you have any questions PM me and I will give you my phone number Cheers   Michael..

@fnq4now

I can show you the scars from doing it the wrong way; and give you the phone number for someone who does it the right way.

Thx guys, I should declare I was a fitter in a previous life. I have tensioned the odd roller door and my panel lift.

I would happily pay someone but the guy I had lined up I postponed and he said call me when ready, 4 days later I call and he says Iam booked up till Tuesday and then gone for a month!  The other local guy ^*##ed my 2 doors 12 yrs ago and the reason I have previous experience.

Mr Horsepower thanks, I have read those and the steel-line install destructions. I may call if okay. I just have a few questions to be sure.
