Redarc Brake Controller wiring

How have you wired yours up?
The instructions say to run a wire to the battery. Now to me that means it will be on all the time. Me on the other hand was thinking of wiring it to a wire off the ignition. What are your thoughts???

yeah mate  that's how they wire it,there is power all the time as the brakes need a bit of power, the power on all the time is no problem but i would tend to use a relay if your going to switch it off with the key ( lust my two bobs worth )
