Interestingly though, I didn't tick the "I would spend the $600 to make them all the same" option in the poll. While I spent more than that myself, if I already had a camper I'm not sure I'd pay that much money just to get them to match. It seems a lot of money. That said, if your current axle isn't braked, then I'd definitely upgrade to a braked axle. If it was roughly the same price to get one that matched wheels while you were at it - why not. IE, the brakes would be my motivation for swapping the axle, not the wheels - they'd just be a happy bonus.

Am I making any sense? Sure doesn't feel like it...

Cheers!

Made sense to me Matto as that is what I have just done.

At least in rim size, tyre size (Getting the same tyres) and stud pattern.

I want to get 8 new rims so they match, but that is an expensive option.

Cannot get the rims for my tug any more, was in a major accident and they thought they would have to replace the rim, ended up repairing it instead because they couldn't replace it. If they had to replace the insurance would only cover the damaged rims, not the good ones so I would be driving around with different rims on each side of the car :-(

The camper and the 100 series are interchangeable, same size rims and tyres and stud pattern, was worth every cent of the extra $100 it cost to match them.  Then the boss gave me a ute and they no longer fit....

Touche has Disco rims & are 16" and has two spares. Previous owner had a Disco.
The Cruiser has 15" with one spare.
I've looked into changing Touche's to match the cruiser's and it would be more than 600 bucks. :'(
2 hundred a throw for the Alko hubs to suit, then a set of rims, than the rubber to match.
I live with what I have   8)

I've had very few flats or punctures over the years, and even less when touring. However in 2009, travelling around Lake Eyre in convoy with friends, each vehicle/camper combo had three.  With only two spares each, and not interchangeable (F250 v Nissan Grenade) there were times when we had to either pay top dollar out bush, or hope we didn't get another flat before we had a chance of spending top dollar.

For this reason, our Quantum and Cruiser wheels are interchangeable, different rims but same diameter and offset & tyres are all the same size.  And we have two spares on the camper, thus three in total.  I'm due for new tyres, and will install a TPMS on the camper (already fitted to the Cruiser) when I get them, as at least 1 was destroyed on an old camper before i realised it had gone flat.  9 x Cooper AT/3!  $$$$$$ :'( :'( :'(

I have purchased 8 new steel wheels for Pajero and C/Trailer and fitted Bridgestone Duellers At's on all (interchangable), for off road trips(2nd set) still use Hwy tyre's that came with the 4x4 new on alloys for around town and save wear on off road tyre's

Ours doesn't really fit into your categories.  The rim size, tyre size and offset are different, but they do interchange as the rolling circumf is similar.
