why is it that nine has three channels and is not able to put the rugby coverage on live? but the NRL takes pride of place on the main channel? why is it that the programmers are not able to co-ordinate the two codes at the same time? I'm sure that I'm not the only rugby fan that has a bad taste in my mouth, and have NO interest in the NRL and am dumb founded that channel nine and win could be so blinded by big dollars thrown about by the NRL, at least put it on one of the other two channels!! after all it is an INTERNATIONAL TEST MATCH with the national side playing an other countries national side, not just some local club game

I agree.

They buy the rights for it and not put it on.

Just so Foxtel can't show it. It's complete crap if you ask me. There should be a law against this...

Anyone else notice how they've also dropped the bit rate on the footy to make it almost unwatchable on a big screen.

This is another kick in the face for the viewer.

PS I'm an All Blacks supporter.

I like to watch both codes, but this year I have been put off by referees decisions. Crucial incorrect decisions just kill the game. Especially in Rugby League, so many bad referees decisions this year. Do they make the same number of bad decisions in AFL? Or is that game just simple, jump like a girl, kick the ball, shoulder charge everyone at any time.

And Union, well I think they just make up the rules as they go.

True. They have the option of using one of their other channels but for some reason we can't see it live. There may not be the club comp and marketing as there is with the league, but these are international tests. Then they get poor commentators to go with it. Siphoning laws or whatever, very poor showing by ch 9.

I can't believe that it is Australia playing but the meat head nrl mob get front headlines all the time even in the nightly news they barley let you know that the Wallabies are playing in the rugby championship.

It's very poor on there behalf.

Channel 9 delay telecasts so that they can play 5 minutes of football & 10 minutes of ads.
I agree they COULD have league on one channel & rugby on another.
As far as watching channel 9 ..... I avoid it whenever possible

In regard to bad decisions in the NRL, this weekend's game was a perfect example (Manly v Cowboys)
