Home made draw system, proud of my hubbys handywork

Hi All,

Well I said id post photos when I got some of my husbands handy work. He has made this draw system for our cruiser, very proud of his efforts if I do say myself, just waiting for him to finish the rear bar then we will cover the draws and top with carpet. (Will add photos of the rear bar too when he has finished that too.)

All up cost him about $500 600 as had to pay for some of the folding of the metal as press at work was not working at the time, and the slides for the fridge were the most expensive part of the project something about de-rating (not sure what that means).

I know I am bias but I think he has done a fantastic job.

He has done a great job Pat, oh and thanks for the "thanks" to. Got the old 80 fixed for $77 was a fan motor.

Looks tops! If you make a lid over the fridge you can store things on top of it too.

I'm looking at doing similar build but havent been able to find descent draw runners and haven't decided weather to build them out of timer or gal steel. I noticed you are based in Burpengary, can you let me know were you went to get yours.

My hubby thinks he got the draw runners from D&W Draw systems www.drawslide.com.au he said you can also get them from www.drawerslidedirect.com.au the ones on the draws are Hafele and the fridge ones were the d&w ones (227kg ones 965 long). He said have to derate them at least 50%.

Hope that helps. We originally built wooden draw system, but ripped it out and reused the Hafele slides with the metal build. The metal system is much sturdier and we are going to put a solid top all the way across. (Much to my delight was a pain in the bum to have to move everything off the top of the fridge every time you wanted to get something out of the fridge).
