Hi All,

Does anyone have one of these BBQ / GRILLS that was purchased here? They are usually on campers from USA, however I saw one on a Caravan Accessories site but can`t find it.
They are made by Camco and also come in stainless steel and aren`t as expensive as the slide in ones. Caravan and RV World have some Camco products but not these. They can be used with normal LPG or canisters.

Check out the Magma range of BBQs, also in inox/stainless steel.
both gas capable and heat bead /charcoal.

They are Mari e grade and the smaller ones can attach onto the boats stanchions, the bigger ones can attach to the front roo bars, that's where I've wanted to have one mounted on quick release mount.
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

Robyn,

You might try a marine supply outlet, many sail boats have similar BBQ's.

Hi Cruisin and Hem,

Thanks for your replies, I tried various marine and caravan sites and it seems they are a design which is not available here. To me it`s a good idea to be able to attach a bbq to a mounting strip on the camper / caravan wall or use it on a table.

Caravan and Rv World looked them up in the Camco catalogue, said they look really good, especially in stainless steel but had no idea why the Camco importer they deal with doesn`t have them. He said sometimes items cannot be imported if a similar item is produced here. That seems strange as most of the marine and slide out bbqs are made in USA. ???

I enquired where we first saw them and they are now selling them for $350. I realise the connections have to be changed and certified, but it seems a lot for an item that`s $94 + $71 shipping costs on Amazon. The S/S  are $185 + costs. I have to admit I nothing about costs involved importing goods so perhaps $350 is a fair price. I`m sure someone can enlighten me. ;D

I`m sure we`ll come up with something, we`ve plenty of time to think about it, seeing as we haven`t purchased our Grey Nomad caravan yet. I do like the stainless steel model though!

Cheers, Robyn
