Just put my order in :)

They knew what they were talking about too, not just a salesman!

Probably getting a 2kw for now with a bigger inverter for a future upgrade.

Thanks for the heads up Darryl

Any solar install company can do it ...

BUT , they do not need to be paid for the service , and do not need to take any deposit off you .

It is in fact an application between you and the electricity board .

Just think about it for a minute .... All companies are presently run off their feet trying to get through the end of financial year job load , so if a company is heavily advertising now as well , where do you think they are getting their extra installers from ?
Probably someone off the street corner who has no idea , or got the flick from a previous company . Their regular and reliable installers are already booked out with work ....
Just an educated tip for you .

Thanks again Darryl for the help you've given me.

Submitted my form today with a local mob (thanks to Bill for the referral), for a 5kW inverter. May only start out with 3kW of panels, but it gives us room to grow in future without needing a new application, and locks in the 44c tariff. Will probably look to Nov-Dec for the install - gives us time to save (ha!), and the installers are expecting to be slow around then anyway, which suits us.

All done & signed, so it's off to the V8's tomorrow knowing that it's all sorted.

Again, thanks for the heads-up - if your guys were closer then there's no doubt who we would have gone with.

Cheers!

Thats what we did.
a 3.6 system and 5kW inverter, though now I really doubt that we would ever add on to it...
