Admittedly I am biased, but Lake Gregory in WA is the Biggest natural lake in a desert in Australia, and I have not been able to find any larger anywhere. (Great bird watching too)

There was a farm down near Wauchope (I think) that had The Big Bull. It was a fibreglass structure that you could walk up inside & look out of its eye to get a great view over the surrounding area. Even had a big set of "bull's bits" swinging in the wind
