I was just cruising through the Tracey's 4wd build thread again and noticed the photo of the dash board. Guess what stands out the most on it!? Yep, the big RED button!  ;D

My thought was, how have times changed. Even on the FJ, the hazard light button is HUGE and in a very obvious place. (Actually, I lie. My real thought was...how "Danger Danger Will Robinson" was that button!  >:D ;D)

On my Chevy, I would be willing to bet that not one of you could get in and immediately find the hazard light button, let alone get it going.

So, in 20 years, hazard light buttons have gone from some hidden secret passcode type activation button to something that is bigger than most of the other buttons on our dash boards.

Not sure if its a positive or negative really...as I said...just a random thought...
 ;D

Mandrake

Mine's in the middle of the dash - looks like a bio-hazard sign ..

Men in Black came around and told me - " Never press the Red Button Mandrake " .

So there it sits in its glory never to be used until the traffic jam in the tunnel !! LOL ..

Going back to basics - sort of ...

PS: The older I get all the buttons need to be the bigger and brighter. ???

OK so I think it is on the stalk and to activate it you would push the stalk forward which is the opposite way from high and low beam.
Am I correct?

Like Crisp Image I thought that, on all those early 90s chevys, they were located on the column stalk that controlled just about everything and needed a licence to operate it..
