Well all that i can say is dont knock it till you have tried it
Interior SUV like comfort
Back tub is huge
Acessories list included things like duel battery systems etc so you can spec her up right from the start
And that motor hauls arse

This think makes the hilux look and feel tired beyond belief. Add to this the fact that she will tow 3.3 tonnes

I have had enough of the prado and its old hat diesel and was considering a 200 series for my next rig but after driving 1 and considering i can get a new Mazda fully kitted for even less than a second hand 200 i am now thinking hard

C'mon Bruce, I reckon you've made the same comment about every new model released in the last year. They don't make square 4wbies anymore, for better or worse. I don't mind the look of any of the new crop, each one has it's styling strengths and weaknesses IMO.

I'd love to know where they are fitting the dual battery, it certainly won't be under the bonnet, there's about as much room under there as a D40 Nav.
They are a nice bit of gear, both the Rangers and BT's. Glad I didn't wait though for the  new model, can't justify 15k more than the BT I bought new last year, just as a work rig.
Custom made stone guards and boat loaders for Jayco Outbacks and more.

I think the point is its differant , new, sort of stand out . If it get noticed then all it has to do is perform , if it goes it good . If it wont go then its history

Not a fan of the look myself, think the Ford looks MUCH better. I think Mazda Australia reckon so too, judging by the fact that every car on the BT50 ad had a steel bullbar covering up the Mazda6 front end!
Have also heard that many of the factories in Thailand (HiLux, Amarok, COurier, BT50 etc etc) got wiped out by floods. Nissan had (amazingly) shifted Navara production to Spain two months prior. Might get em to buy my next Lotto tickets...!
