Have a quiet fish today and had this circle the boat for about 10 minutes, was about 5 meters long and we were in a 5.25 stacer runabout. This was about 1 km from middleton beach in Albany

That's a good size. I wouldn't mess with that size, was it a white shark, hard to tell? I have a 5.5 stacer and I want a 6.5m boat  ;D

blaze

I believe it was a white, also reported in WA papers and by commercial fisherman. Someone sugested we should have baited up the anchor, not me, leave that to someone else

Nice size fish.
Seals were always a worry for me when fishing out of a 12foot tinnie, had the odd one or two show an intrest in coming aboard.

That is awesome! As a diver I have always thought of shark, especially the big pelagics, as the models of the oceans.

Did you see the South African who swims with them without a cage, think it was on 60 minutes last week? His nick name is lucky. You'd want to make sur eyou knew where he keeps his car keys  ;D.

the question that comes to my mind, is, just who is, at the top of the food chain? the bloody thing was probably heavier than the boat you were in and a Shit load faster.
