the bull bar debate raises it's ugly head again

I found this on another forum, and I find this debate worrying that the gov would try to ban bull bars/ nudge bars

There is no talk of BANNING bullbars.

The issue is that NEW vehicles may need to meet NEW rules that would require the manufacturers to modify their designs.

You can keep your current bullbar.

to the guy in the photo
he hits a wombat or roo at speed hes still up for panel damage and ive seen prados with rather bent frames from bullbar versus anything as it pushes the load into the chassis

normally the car would crumple but the bar just puts the forces through the mounting points and you still get structural damage

my father ran a nrma preffered smash repair buisness till last year and i got to see lots of vehicles on a auto straiteneing robot

The good thing with the new regulatiions is that when you hit a roo, it will land in your lap.
No more messy roads. :-)
(o, and you will be dead but that is a minor issue as the pedestrians are safe)
