Hi so I just picked up I just picked up a small hot water cylinder going to start cutting it up next weekend because I'm heading away this weekend, its going to be a similar set up as the picture below but I'm thinking of cutting some of the top flat so I can put a removable BBQ plate on it to make cleaning it easier. Also going to put a bent flute on it so I can sit it under my gazebo a bit, also trying to think of a way to be able to brake the flute down in 3 or 4 bits easier for transport anyone got a way? Post a pic of yours to give me some ideas

Have a look it the blank  & think about just where you want it to be after its cut up .   Play with the design on paper then , Rip into it .
lf it all turns sH1T  trash it a go again . You wont be the 1st to do so  .
                                        Enjoy

That looks like a 9KG bottle to me . Dime a dozen to acquire .
Degas them then cut them up to a unit that suites your purpose  & go from there  . The flue can be rectangular  Gal down pipe cut & teck screwed to make the bends . Just how flash do you need to be     ???
lf it all turns to Sh1t start again with another plan  ,  whats it cost you    ,  ???
4/5 of 5/8 of SFA  &
                                       ;D ;D ;D                      :cup:

Yeah that's a gas bottle but that's just a idea my hot water cylinder will be a bit bigger and I didn't think about a down pipe I'll head up to the tip shop and see what I can find

Now your thinking    :cup:
l teck screwed to rectangular down pipes together  , cuttng out the lower 200mm internal walls to place the flue This is  over a recycled wet sleeve from a Massy tractor welded to the hole cut in the gas can end . That gives you a solid base to work from .
Experiment , work plans , rework plans  Enjoy
Try the bins of construction sites for bits
