That is a good read! Although I can't bring myself to spend 40 bucks on a book, I'll get this one at some stage

I spent a some time with Alan Moffat  at a weekend function in Melbourne , 2003 or 2004 .

He is a great guy , but while we were chatting he made a comment to me about me been a Holden fan , (He had seen me in my HRT clobber having coffee with Mark Skaife and  Glen Seton only a short time earlier ), I said to him that some of his greatest victories came his way when he drove a Commodore .

He told me that he fully agreed with me , he also stated only praise for Peter Brock and he was quite amazed that I followed the sport with such an interest that I remembered these events .

He also said that his so called followers ( Ford Fans ) would never admit this , nor would they ever accept that he did indeed drive and race Holdens .

Alan Moffat is one of the greats that have helped  make Australia motor sport an international must see event .

cheers duggie .

Moffat has always said, that he had the utmost respect for Brock and I for one, liked him as a driver. He didn't put up with chit, from the stupid media or others.  :cup:

So long as you have tried your best, you should have no regrets.

Cruiser 105Tvan

Yep, Moffat even had the b899s to bag the Ford Mo Co. for a suspension part that twisted out of shape under load, on National TV.
The FoMoCo. withdrew support for him shortly afterward.

having been a flag marshal for quite a number of years, I've been lucky enough to be "chauffeured" around Sandown by Allan in an M5. At 240km/h down the back straight, he was so calm chatting to us (2 other flaggies in the car) arm on the window (a la Brock). He just made it look easy.
John Harvey was the same (30th anniversary of Monaro) around Winton. John was saying (as he belted around the track) that in his entire career, he has never owned a race car. He has always driven someone else's............
2005 4.2TD ST Patrol 4 door ute, lifted, locked, ARB barred and Warn winched, 33" Cooper ST Maxx.....and a denco turbo upgrade! mmmm power.....

Got taken around Winton by a track official years ago in his Jackaroo - scary in one of them but fun :)

Watching a Neil Crompton hosted show on Foxtel call Bathurst Legends.
Sit down chat with Colin Bond, Allan Moffat, Fred Gibson, Mike Raymond and Jimmy Richards.

Showing some great old footage.  News clip from 1974 when Moff took a primered grey Group C XB coupe to the USA for testing.

Being towed through Ohio by an Econoline and testing on a skid pan along side Mark Donohue in his F1 car.

Found it here.
