Hello all,

I am just curious to know if anybody has dealt with Tambo Campers during the last 2 years.  Any feedback, good stories, bad stories etc.  Who has one of their new trailers.  I purchased the new Rubicon back in March - Still waiting for delivery - very excited to get the final product soon....

Cheers

I am on my second Tambo, bought prior to the change of hands. Great trailers that can get anywhere with some of the best canvas that I have seen. Ian is a great bloke who has kept the Tambo name going. Look forward to seeing the Rubicon, hopefully you dont have long to wait

Some pics of the progress.  They have made some pretty cool changes to the new Rubicon.

We took delivery of our Rubicon approx 4 weeks ago now.  Mayden voyage was Paradise valley.  The end product is fantastic, great build quality.

I believe the website has been taken down as a new one is under construction.

Hey Gav! Nice camper mate!
Some good pics there of the setup, hope it's all been going well. We've been out a fair few times now, will put a few pics up again soon too.

Also just to let you know, I have had the coil springs changed on ours, it was bouncing about all over the place offroad, the standard issue springs for the Control Rider TS suspension pack is just too heavy, rated at 2500kgs max, our trailer is around 1720Kgs  fully loaded with everything jammed in and two weeks of tucker on board. Spoke with the guys at G&S Chassis and they were exceptional with feedback and service.
They do have a lighter spring available for their Control Rider TS package which they fitted up for us, and we get much better axle articulation now and a better "sit" of the trailer on the tracks.
I think the original springs were 19mm diameter, where as these are 16mm diameter.

Cheers,
Luke

Hi mate.  it's been a while.

Camper is going great.  Had a minor issue with a drawer runner but Ian sorted that out for me over the weekend.  It is interesting what you mention about the suspension.  I might investigate this further also with G&S.  It could def do with some softer springs.   I will check mine and see what measurement they are.

Speaking with Ian he mentioned he was looking at a new boat rack design - is this something you are going to investigate.  from memory you had some issues with the original design.

Cheers
