Toast to campfire by stuey

This was written by my mate Stuey. He has a few more apparently. I liked it so much I just had to share it. I hope you like it as well.

I'd like to toast the campfire
for without it we'd be cold
and how would all the grub be cooked
and where would yarns be told
we'd have no place to flick our butts
and no place to dry our boots
we'd all be stumbling in the dark
and trip up on gumtree roots
I'd like to toast the campfire
and thank it for its heat
I'll enjoy the tucker cooked on it
and I'll welcome the blokes I meet
we can use it as an ashtray
and a good old outback dryer
I'll watch shadows in the flicking light
so let's toast the old campfire
I'd like to toast the campfire
just like my old man did
and his old man before him
when I was just a kid
and when my kids have children
in the not so distant years
we can all toast the campfire
so let's all raise our beers.
