Hoping to get some help from our Cairns members. I'm up there next week with my 9 yo daughter to watch the boy in crickets titles. I've been looking at the caravan parks as reckon they'll be the cheapest?? If it was just me, I'd sleep in the old Cruiser bit having daughter means probably a cheap cabin. I've found $57.00 a night and comes with a book for 7, pay for 6 deal at the park in town with Shared ammenities at Cairns Holiday Park. What do the locals think?

The Light of My Life & I stayed there 4-5 years ago & thought it was quite good. It's got a good pool & not far from town. From memory there is a good seafood co-op not too far away & a small shopping centre just to the South.

We stayed at Lake Placid caravan park a few years ago and found that good.

Coconuts resort has always been a favorite for us, not the cheapest though as there's heaps to do onsite. If you're just after somewhere to sleep, Cool Waters caravan park is nice and quiet.
