As the link obove, ... We have a gas instant  8 liter PM heater unit,  Puts out nice and hot  40 / 42 deg C  shower water with a reasonable flow  in winter time ..  [ would get much stronger shower flow if we used cooler temperature setting IE: Summer time  ]..
We use a 12.5 Lpm pump .. It pays to  prime the heater core  before you start your shower though , We use  25 ltr containers of cold water for showers and these  give  roughly 6 minutes of continuos shower time ..

Sorry to butt into your post Twinpiston...but I may be in a similar position soon and have been thinking about external hot water showers.
Saw this today at anaconda and would like to know if people think these things are viable, worth the coin or not ?

Cheers

I want a factory look and feel as I don't want to hand to hook things up, and I want hot water in the campers sink.

Yes...can understand that as well.
Also...if it is installed then that is one less thing you have pack.

I too have been looking at the new h2oasis by coleman. Been out a month or two. Like the size.  They are about half the size of the aquacube. I love my aquacube and recently plumbed it into the camper for the external shower and hot water at the sink.

Budget hot water install in the Pioneer

The base model doesn't have a valve on the shower head which is a bit annoying.  It also lacks the digital water temp guage of my aquacube logic but that is not a deal breaker as long as it works well. They have fixed one of the biggest complaints of the old version. It will now run off a 12v lead when the internal battery goes flat.

Have a look at some of the marine hot water systems.

We replaced ours about 2 years ago and I think it was about $450 and a 25 litre system.
They are just a miniature of a normal hot water system etc.

Worth a look.
I DON'T CARE HOW NICE THE HAND SOAP SMELLS.....

You should never walk out of the public toilets sniffing your fingers.

we got one of these recently at the sydney 4x4 show for under $300. Gas Hot Water System and use a 25L container for water.
