And with digging up an old thread... after selling my one and only road bike 25 yrs ago I decided it was time to get another one and after heaps of fun test riding different bikes i picked up a BMW S1000R yesterday. .. so much fun and a world of difference to my old katana.

Just love the Vulcan. Big, slow, sounds great, reliable and fun to ride.
Had a FJ 1200 a while ago and while out riding one Sunday afternoon, called into the pub for a drink. There were 2 Harleys parked outside and the riders were also having a drink. Barman came up to me and asked why riders of Jap bikes do not park next to Harleys. My reply, before considering the outcome, was that we do not like getting oil over our bikes. Luckily the Harley riders saw the funny side and had a drink with me.
