Thanks for the advice boys .

Hey KB according to the dealer in bundy those roofs bars arnt available any more due to them allowing water to leak in . But a local auto parts supplier here tells me they have just come out that mount in the actual roof channel for Mu x and D max.

Well as I said in original post  the patrol has been trouble free for the last 8 yrs well the last time I drove it both back tyres separated due to lack of use and 1 rear airbag blew out, took it for a run on Sunday to give it a run and the altanator died .

So I am pretty sure buy the end of May there will be a new Mu x sitting in the garage , And due to a new work contract etc .The Colorado will also be gone and the Mu x will actually get driven as it will be the new work car ,as well as family wagon on the weekends .

Once I get it and bling it up with Bull bar, driving lights ,snorkel ,tow bar and a few other goodies I will post some pics

Sorry to hear of the Patrol's probems.  I am sure you wil be happy with the MUX if that is what you go with.

No chatter on the forums about the roof bars.  Interesting.

Good luck mate

I have the factory bars on mine, not a problem at all no leaking either sitting still or moving, have been caught in rain a couple of times, fitted about a month ago I think via the dealer. Still on their web site

Great choice by the way,

I saw a lifted Mux with nice bar work etc the other day.
Although it looked a bit skinny on the BFG AT's everything else looked pretty good.
Not a bad car for the $$$. It was Gun metal grey and looked nice.

There is MU X local to me fitted out in complete ARB trim and some, and TBH it looks tough as nails, if I can ill grab a pic, might be a bit difficult, as people are very protective of the vehs around here at the moment due to all the break in/stealing of cars happening.....

Well after 8 yrs the trusty patrol has gone to a new home last Monday .I did feel a bit sad to see it go I must admit.

And today I picked up the new Isuzu Mu-x Lsu Auto
Already a few extras ,a Dobinson steel bulbar a set of 100watt Roo lights,a set of rola roof bars ,Bonnet protector etc.

Still to do a brake controller,Anderson plug, another 12 v plug for fridge as the std one is though ignition .

Only done 50 kms so far but so far more than happy ,will put up some photos over the weekend so thanks to all for the info .

Anyway won't stay new fro long off to bris next week ,Rocky emerald two weeks after that so it won't take long to test it out.

Well I fixed the fuel tank problem a long ranger 128 litre monster has been shoehorned under there and I am now happy again and only filling up once every 6 weeks

1200kms till the fuel light comes on and that gives you about 15 litres left in the beasty
