Hi all
Looking for an adjustable tow hitch. This is what I am looking at buying. It's a Mister Hitches brand and made in Taiwan. I need to lift the CT a bit higher. Yes I have turned it upside down and is still a bit low. Any suggestions without spending a fortune?
Cheers

Yah, I saw that one but wanted one with the two pins. Just not sure on reliability with two bolts.  ;D

Hey mate. does it have to be adjustable? If not you can buy off the shelf a replacement hitch at different heights. I went to the local Hayman Reece dealer in Shepp and they had 4 or 5 different height hitches as well as the adjustable type. Its just a matter of measuring what height you want. I wanted 40mm higher but even the adjustable one couldn't get 40mm (it went higher than that). I couldn't go more than 40mm because of the tailgate on the use when it folds down.

If there is a local Hayman Reece dealer to you call in and see what they can do.

I have a couple of hitches - one for the kamper and one for the 6x4 as they both ride at different heights. If I'm not towing I leave the hitch out.

The bolts or pins act as shearing points. To shear an M16 bolt requires enormous force. Pins allow movement within as They are not fixed. Bolts would be my preferred choice.

I've got a hayman & Reece that adjusts with the two bolts. I went to get one 40mm lower ,but was told to go the adjustable for an extra $10. This is at a trailer manufacturer in Geelong. When I'm not camping I can put it on the old F 100 and adjust it for the fire trailer , the original F 100 one was too low.
