Can you swap n go a 2.9kg gas cylinder at any of the swap n go type arrangements.

Yes and no.

You can surrender your gas bottle into the cage, but not swap it at the swap price. You would have to buy one at the 'new' price.

You can always try it on though - hope you get someone who is a bit dim and just swaps it.

Just between you and me ( ) You're actually better off hitting a local servo on a busy day on a weekend. Offer to open the cage and take your own bottle out as they are busy, and show them you have taken out just the one bottle. Try not to show them what you are putting in.

But don't tell anyone I told you this!

BCF and BBQ's Galore will refill your bottle......well, at least my local ones do.

I had one that was leaking around the neck, so it needed replacing.
I tried everywhere to get it exchanged and came up with nothing. In the end I gave to Barbecues galore to get rid of.

They are  a handy size but a PITA for exchanges.
