Interesting story on one of our countries rarely heard about explorers, Michael Terry. Can be read here  http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/terry-michael-15670
Hope the link works. Found out about him in Pat the hats new mag.
On the subject of history, anyone know where I can get a hold of a copy of The Lone Wolf by Sam Elliot? It's an autobiograghy about one of the last of the old time hard rock miners. I think he ran the wild irish girl battery around Palmer River.
Want to buy if you've got one.

Saw a story about what might be Australia's first camper van the other night. It was going on display in some little vic town.  Hate it when I can't find a link.

Until then, here is an early yank camper van

Sweeeet. Nuriootpa north east of Adelaide. Pretty impressive building that and taking it where they did during the depression. And not even one rattle!

Barossa, Victoria.  Close. Both are south west of me.  Maybe consumption of the produce of the first led to the confusion.  ;D

Nah mate. Can't blame the sauce. I put my confused state down to age.    Anyhow, I only drink when I'm alone,  or with somebody.
