Have a Coleman HWOD system. Took it away over Christmas and it would not fire. Has a new battery, ignitor shows spark.

Cracked the gas lines. Gas seems to be getting through. Left it in the shed since then. Started it up last weekend and it worked ???

Fired it up this morning, it worked. Now it will not light. Plenty of water flow. It is driving me insane >:D

Not worth taking it away next week if it is so hit and miss.

Anyone with any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks

we have a aqua cube and this did happen to use a few times. stop using the small GAS CARTRIDGE and started using a 4.5kg bottle, still happened sometimes. I also find if you fire it up with the pump going the remove the hose for a second the put it pack on it seems to work. I only found all this out because mine was new it didn't work and I piss angry, so a heap of beers and a lot of swearing later I started to have a play and now it always try's to stop working but there's a way to get her going again
Do more camping.

Make sure you are out of the wind, Colemans don't like the wind. The pump power supply is also on a plug close to the hose inlet. This also comes ajar and stops the pump, although this isn't your issue.
If less than 12 months old, return it for warranty.
I got a sweater for Xmas, really wanted a moaner or screamer.

Apart from what you've already covered we found if there was a kink in the water hose or an air block then it wouldn't fire. We used ours for nearly 6 months on the road and it was a very reliable unit.

Watty, no problems I am sure some of the guys on the Cape Trip are happy to share their warm shower. :D

thanks all. will run some more water through it to see if it has anything to do with air.

Thought maybe there was some crap in the ggas line somewhere, but really have no idea.

Mark, do I need to bring a special sponge to use said warm water

By the time you get north of Mareeba you will be swimming in the creeks. B

Well, finally figured out the issue was a sticky gas solenoid stopping the gas getting to the igniters.

Found the following link that was helpful, maybe it might help others.
