Hey guys,

I helped a mate remove his style side off his AU falcon and fit an alloy tray yesterday. Was a mission as the alloy tray was off a totally different vehicle but all good its on.

The style side we removed has an arb canopy on it and now we are thinking of turning it into his work trailer. Do you think its worth buying a cheap old box trailer and customising it to suit the tub? Its a single cab falcon tub so was thinking of buying a cheap 6x4 with a good axle etc and suspension/hubs and just removing the box trailer part and modifying the axle to suit the tub. My question is do you think its more effort than its worth?

Buy a flat trailer rather than a box trailer. Why waste a good box?

One issue may be the location of the wheel wells. Look at the location on the tub, and compare that to the box. It might not sit the tub in the right place, and give you a wrong centre of gravity - end result would be an incorrect ball weight at the hitch.

Yeah if we can find a flat trailer it would be even better. If we can find a suitable size trailer it will be easy, but its never easy!
