Ok, this might be a silly question...but....its burning at me...
I have a heap of those Oztrail "green mats" (I think official name is ultramesh outdoor shield).  We used to put them down under the camper and in the kitchen area.
I was wondering, if it possible, or does anyone know anyone in Brisbane/Ipswich who can add a sailrope or something to one edge so they may be used in a sail track?

thanks

Any canvas shop or saddler should be able to do it.  Fairly simple job I would think.  Sorry can't recommend anybody down on the lowlands but could up here.

Snowys used to sell a green mat with a sail track edge for about 40. I think it was 8x10.

I added a rope to a blue tarp edge once. You need a "Speedy Stitcher" (sewing awl available on eBay and elsewhere), a thin rope about half the diameter of the sail track and a fair amount of patience.

Fold the mat edge over the rope and sew right next to the rope.

You can buy sail plugs that attach to the sail track and then you can attach to the mat. I use them on a couple of tarps that attach to my camping trailer.

This is what I did. I used an old sectional tent pole cut in to pieces and tied them to the shade cloth using the existing eyelets. The tent pole bits slide neatly into the sail track. You'd need to sort out how to hold each end.
